We look forward to welcoming you to the Oregon Porcelain Art Retreat!.  This is our sixth year, and we are anticipating it will be even more successful than before.

Register, pick an instructor, pack your china painting supplies and join us for some educational and fun-filled days at the ocean!

Class assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis.  Although every effort is made to give students their choice of teachers, there are many times when this is impossible.  If the registration form is incomplete, the student will be placed in a class which has an opening.  Deposit is due with registration and the balance is due no later than February 1, 2008   Payment plans available just contact Marge Madaris, Treasurer

BLANK CHINA FOR CLASS

You must purchase your class project porcelain from the school store. This enables us to keep  the cost of the school low.  Only porcelain purchased from the school store will be accepted for firing.
FIRING

All class pieces will be fired each evening.  Extra pieces will be fired kiln space availability,
Evening demo projects will be fired next morning.  Firing charge applies for extra pieces and evening demo projects.  We will be firing on Friday and you may pick up your pieces in the kiln room Saturday,   May 10th 8 a.m. - noon.






KILNS

Once again, we will have kilns available for purchase at the conclusion of the school.  See Kiln Master for details.
MEMBERSHIP IN WOCP

    You do NOT have to be a member of WOCP to attend OPAR.  It is the goal of Oregon
     WOCP to promote the art of china painting through its educational objectives.
WEATHER

    Seaside weather can be cool in the spring.  Be sure and bring along a jacket and an
    umbrella.
WOCP MUSEUM SELECTION

    This event will be during OPAR and all Oregon WOCP members are encouraged to enter
    their hand-painted porcelain (bisque or glazed) to be voted upon for the WOCP Museum
    selection.  All entries must have been painted within the current membership year.  Only
    WOCP members will be able to vote.  Winning pieces will be on display at the WOCP
    Museum (in Oklahoma City) for one year.
YOUTH COMPETITION

    WOCP membership is not required to enter.  The only requirement is that entries must be
    painted on porcelain and must be the work of a child between the ages of 6 and 17.  All
    attendees are encouraged to vote.  The winning piece in each age category will be on
    display at the WOCP Museum for one year.

  BANQUET  - Friday May 9, 2008
  The Graduation Banquet will be held on Friday evening, and is a part of your OPAR  package.  There will be raffle    pieces and an auction.  Don't miss our final evening of    camaraderie and good food.
